The Proper Way to Wash and Care for Your Skin

Being the largest organ of your body, you should give special attention to your epidermis. This is because whatever condition you are in which affects your wellness shows quite easily on it. Thus, when you feel stressed, your skin may appear dull or develop certain blemishes. On the other hand, if you are well rested and happy, your dermal layer appears to be glowing and healthy.

Although beauty starts from within, it does not mean that you will neglect the surfaces of your body. Here are some tips on how to attend to it properly:

  • Face
  • It is highly recommended that you wash this using lukewarm water two times in a day. Overdoing it will cause dryness, tautness, and itchiness. Use gentle cleansers that are non-comedogenic and do not contain alcohol. In wiping, do not rub the cloth but just pat your skin with it. This prevents it from being subjected to abrasive surfaces. Exfoliate about once a week in order to eliminate whiteheads and loosen deposits in the pores.

  • Hands
  • Washing these often is a good way to keep yourself from contracting contagious diseases and potentially harmful germs, especially if you work in an area that requires you to handle certain contaminants or synthetic materials. However, overdoing this can dry out and even cause inflammation. To prevent this, do limit the number of instances and put on moisturiser afterwards every time.

  • Body
  • Bathing once a day is sufficient and hygienic enough. If your job needs you to exceed this number, you can do so. To counteract the drying effect, apply a moisturiser or use a wash that can effectively hydrate your dermal surfaces. Use a scrub to slough off the dead skin cells. If your epidermis is sensitive or dry, do this every other day or thrice a week.

Make sure that you remove make-up first before sleeping and keep out of the sun as much as you can. To help you feel superbly refreshed, splash on some fragrance before you go out of the house.
